Environmental and Social Performance Standard 2: Labor and Working Conditions
At the Inter-American Development Bank, we are convinced that the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean can transform their development trajectories in ways that are more sustainable and that improve the lives of their citizens. For this reason, on September 16, 2020, the new Environmental and Social Policy Framework was approved. This framework will modernize our safeguard policies and guide the management of social and environmental risks across all our projects.
In this virtual course, you will have the opportunity to learn about the new Performance Standard 2 on labor and working conditions. Through videos, podcasts, exercises, infographics, and quizzes, you will understand the importance of maintaining constructive relationships between workers and employers, along with fair treatment and safe and healthy working conditions, in order to promote the efficiency and productivity of development projects.
