The course aims to present modern tools for planning and managing development projects with social/environmental impact based on international best practices (PMI and Prince2). The program is intended for project teams, and therefore, registration must be done as a team, not individually.

The PM4R Professional course was designed and organized by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) as part of the Project Management for Results (PM4R) initiative, aimed at enhancing the project management competencies of teams composed of members from executing agencies and liaison bodies.

It is expected that this training will strengthen your project planning and management skills, as well as those of your team. The goal is to ensure that the programs under your responsibility are executed with a focus on results and considering identified risks through the application of proven project management practices and tools.

The course consists of 7 virtual weeks, comprising 5 learning modules. These modules are further divided into units, whose contents are reinforced by a series of individual and group activities that you will undertake with the support of a tutor.

The PM4R Agile training course for Development Project Management was developed by the Inter-American Institute for Economic and Social Development (INDES) as part of the Project Management for Results (PM4R) initiative of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). The PM4R Agile training course for Development Project Management was developed by the Inter-American Institute for Economic and Social Development (INDES) as part of the Project Management for Results (PM4R) initiative of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). The training aims to strengthen the skills of teams involved in development and social impact projects by promoting agile practices and measurable results.

Participants strengthen their planning and management skills with the goal of implementing projects under their responsibility efficiently and with a results-oriented approach. The training includes an initial webinar followed by a six-week virtual phase with five modules that incorporate practical individual and group activities, always supported by a tutor. At the end, groups present a collaborative assignment in the final week.

With a minimum workload of 50 hours, the course is offered in Spanish, English, Portuguese, and French, and is aimed at intermediate-level participants. The content covers Agile fundamentals, project planning analysis, prioritization, development of the PM4R Agile plan, participatory assignment of responsibilities, and plan execution. By the end, participants will be able to identify, explain, and apply the five steps of the PM4R Agile methodology.
